BMW i is the re-invention of sustainable mobility. Comprising visionary electric vehicles, mobility services and inspiring design, with premium options at every touch point, and all defined by sustainability. It begins with innovative vehicles: the all-electric BMW i3, designed for city driving and sustainably manufactured, and the BMW i8 - our most progressive sports car ever.
More than a car.
The new BMW i3.
The new BMW i3 and BMW i3s were designed from top to bottom with sustainability, exceptional looks, outstanding handling, driving dynamics and battery performance in mind.
The BMW i3 is a fully developed high-tech vehicle that points to the future of motoring by redefining it. It’s visionary, innovative and systematically sustainable. The BMW i3 is more than a vehicle. It is an attitude to life.
As a plug-in hybrid, the BMW i8 combines the performance of a sports car with the consumption of a compact car. Its design, aerodynamics and stylish details are proof that sustainability is not a sacrifice but an attitude.
As the first mass produced vehicle designed from the outset for electric driving, the BMW i3 makes everyday sustainable driving easy. Similarly, the BMW i8 embodies the vision of a modern and sustainable sports car. In BMW i vehicles you display style – and attitude.
Ultimate driving, completely revised.
The BMW i3 and the BMW i8 are pioneers of a new era. Where previously engine noise was a factor, motoring now takes place in almost total silence. City driving is conducted in a completely relaxed manner. All because BMW i has redesigned electric driving in a new and sustainable manner.
Convenient recharging at home.
On average, a car is parked for 22 hours per day. This time can be used to recharge your BMW i3 or BMW i8 via the standard charging cable, or using the BMW i Wallbox or the BMW i Wallbox Pro.
Charging on the move, wherever you are.
Even when you are on the move, there are many options for recharging your BMW i3 or BMW i8. The ChargeNow mobility service shows you where to find charging stations in your area, allowing your vehicle to recharge while you shop, work or relax.
The driving range depends on a variety of factors, especially: personal driving behaviour, selected route, weather conditions, usage of heating/cooling and preconditioning.
The figures for fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and power consumption depend on the wheel and tyre sizes selected. Figures are obtained in a standardised test cycle. They are intended for comparisons between vehicles and may not be representative of what a user achieves under usual driving conditions.
